THE PROCESS
A few thoughts to keep in mind as you move forward with your project:
Everything we present here is a suggestion. Please understand that what we are sharing with you is a general guide. Readers are responsible for making their own decisions.
Many of our concept images include furnishings and upgrades that are outside of a typical budget—please don’t get discouraged by this. Rather, we hope they will inspire you and give you ideas that you can apply to create your home project which reflect your life ideals.
As co-founders of this website, we constantly remind ourselves of the important concept of “quality over quantity.” We have taken our time with our renovation projects and have purchased things slowly. Occasionally we splurge on an expensive item and find great bargains on others. It’s all about balance. So don’t get discouraged if you see we have a $350 faux flower arrangement (which is something you can keep for 10 years, at $35/ year, instead of buying fresh flowers over and over again—you do the math)
Finally, this process is fluid. It moves back and forth with your creativity and ideas—which means your budget is always getting updated.
